JSON Formatter
Format, minify and validate JSON, with a clear error message.
Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent or stored.
Good to know
The formatter uses your browser's JSON parser. On an error it shows the message and, where possible, the line and column.
Because nothing is uploaded, you can also check payloads that contain tokens or customer data. For webhooks, take a look at Snare.
Frequently asked questions
Is my data uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser.
Why is my JSON invalid?
Common reasons: single instead of double quotes, a trailing comma after the last element, or comments. JSON allows none of these.
How large can the JSON be?
A few megabytes are no problem. With very large files the browser may get slower.
